Newwave was founded in 2001, initially supplying Internet dial up and mail servers to the small to medium sized enterprise market.

Newwave’s services focus primarily on integrating the Internet and its benefits into the business systems and processes of their clients. This integration is implemented through the use of various forms of connectivity and Linux-based servers/routers.

Since the formation of Newwave Communications, Newwave has established a strong client base in both the SME and Corporate markets.

Business Model

Companies rent Newwave’s hardware and services on a monthly basis. Connectivity and support fees are included in the monthly rental agreement. Servers and solutions are constantly monitored. Upgrades to faster hardware, new connectivity or more secure fire-walling technology is offered as part of the rental contract agreement.

Product Specification
Each of Newwave’s server products has been carefully developed for the South African market. Built on the Debian GNU Linux distribution, each product is highly proprietary and not merely a standard installation of a conventional distribution. This has allowed Newwave the freedom to tailor and shrink-wrap each of their products.
